Service Hours
The current requirement for St. Leo the Great School is 40 volunteer hours per family per year. You may meet this qualification by either volunteering for 40 hours during the year or buying out either your full 40 hours or part of the 40 hours. The cost to do so is $10 per hour.
Activities that qualify for required volunteer hours include:
- Time assisting in the classroom/school
- Cafeteria duty (Washing dishes earns double hours. Coordinator will double)
- Assisting with school events
- Assisting with school clubs
- Serving on the school board
- Hours served in assisting with St. Leo Athletic Association including:
- Board/committee meetings
- Banquet organization
- Registration functions
- Special duties such as coordination of coaches' clearance
- Tournament or game concession and/or gate duties
- Baseball/softball field maintenance
- Hours in which coaches attend required diocesan training/certification
- Hours in which a coach earns CPR/First Aid training
- Hours that coaches are teaching/practicing with their team
- Hours MAY NOT be earned during game situations
